The Challenge
Our client, Shaker Consulting Group is a leading provider of custom simulation pre-employment testing. Their product, Virtual Job Tryout, is used by many Fortune 500 companies to improve the recruiting and hiring process.
Shaker Consulting Group had a website and an SEO provider. Their website was dated and was not being found by search engines and prospective customers at a desired level. They didn’t have a clear understanding of what SEO could do for them or of the value and long-term sustainability of these services. They needed a new website, built with search engines in mind so they could be found by their prospective customers. Beyond the new website, they needed a partner to provide ongoing guidance to maintain website visibility through organic search traffic.

Our first order of business was to design and build a new website. The new website was built on an open-source platform, with a content management system that allowed the client flexibility to add and change content regularly. A key focal point of the new website was a blog where the client could publish keyword-focused content relevant to their prospective clients. The new website incorporated best practices to help search engines frequently find and also integrated on-page calls-to-action and forms with their CRM solution, Salesforce, closing the sales funnel loop.
The second component to our solution was ongoing content-focused SEO campaigns. PtP developed a plan and provided the guidance and ongoing management of content-focused SEO elements including keyword research, content generation, link building, content distribution, measurement, and ongoing reporting and analysis. Through our process of ongoing oversight and analysis, we’ve seen what works and what does not work in terms of being found and have made site and content recommendations and adjustments where necessary.
