Cleveland Ad Agency Announces 2008 Fall Internship Program

Point to Point, an award winning Cleveland ad agency located in Beachwood, OH, has two exciting advertising and marketing internship opportunities available.

Account Management Intern

Our Account Management Internship will enable you to gain a solid understanding of how a Cleveland ad agency functions and the services it provides to clients. You’ll gain valuable experience that will foster your growth and development along an account management career path. Under the supervision of the Account Directors, you will support and participate in day-to-day responsibilities of client service and account management.

Advertising Intern Job responsibilities:

  • Support the account service team in completion and flow of key documents such as estimates, timelines, change orders, conference notes, status reports, etc.
  • Conduct research online and through a variety of other sources to obtain industry, audience and competitive information
  • Assist with production, trafficking and proofreading projects

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong relationship and team building approach
  • Sense of curiosity and passion about advertising and marketing
  • Positive, “whatever it takes” attitude

Brand Planning Intern

Our Brand Planning Internship offers you an incredible opportunity to learn the art of brand planning. You’ll gain experience in gathering and conducting research to uncover deep audience insights. And you’ll learn how these insights lead to strategies and tactics that can have dramatic results in the marketplace.

Job responsibilities:

  • Research / pulling information from many sources to garner industry and competitive information in the healthcare marketplace
  • Some primary research/mystery shopping hospitals
  • Some administrative support — scheduling interviews and supporting brand strategy, as well as new business efforts

Qualifications:

  • Curious-minded and analytical
  • Enjoy problem solving and forming hypotheses about cause and effect relationships
  • Efficient/proficient in reading, learning and writing
  • Deep thinker – questions why things occur
  • Experience searching through large amounts of data and summarizing information into key observations and relevant trends to create a top-line summary
  • Strategic-minded – and resourceful: understand information needed to solve problems and can find creative ways of getting that information

Ideal marketing internship candidate is a college junior or senior majoring in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. This is a long-term internship beginning in October 2008, with flexibility to accommodate student’s class schedule if necessary.
