Sarah Firestone

When Sarah graduated from Kent State University with a B.A. in Advertising, she originally had the dream of becoming a copywriter. That is, until she got an internship at Point to Point in media planning and buying and fell in love with it. Sarah admits that math has always been her “thang,” so the fact that she gets to work in a high-energy environment and be a number-crunching nerd is a real dream come true. After proving her rockstar chops during her internship, Sarah joined the Point to Point team full-time and the rest, well, is history. Sarah enjoys math and metrics so much she became Google Adwords Certified.

Some Reports Don’t Tell the Whole Story

Post Image
At first glance these stats would confirm that maybe paid search isn't meant for retailers. But then I thought about it. Yes, there may be sites that you go to directly because they are your favorite stores or you've had a good experience there. But, when it comes to something that you want specifically, you go to a search engine to see what pops up. At that point you are completely clueless as to who sells what it is that you...MORE

My phone is going off, my favorite show is calling my name, I am logged onto Facebook and Twitter and I am exhausted- yet still awake in spite of knowing I need to be asleep. Sound familiar to you? For most of us the draw of the “screen” is enough to distract us from the...MORE

Connecting TV and the Web

Post Image
Last night, after a busy day at work, grocery shopping, dinner and some unpacking (I just moved into my first house!), I sat down to catch up on some TV shows. If you’re like me, the moment my bum hits that couch I reach for my laptop. It is impossible for me to sit still,...MORE

The Next Measure

Post Image
Few things get me more excited about advertising than being able to see the results of it. It is a thrill that comes from pulling up stats and seeing a spike in phone calls, site traffic and sales after a campaign has launched. It makes you feel like you did a good job-like you managed...MORE

My magazine is talking to me?!

Post Image
As media planners, we all try to come up with something new and exciting to break through the clutter. Something that will make the average consumer stop and take notice.  Traditionally, the best way to do this in print has been belly bands, inserts and polybags, but that came to a halting stop this week....MORE
